It’s a Wonderful Life: A Radio Play has been a great deal of fun.  We’ve had a hectic rehearsal process, almost every day people unavailable both scheduled and *ahem* unscheduled.  But the pervasive feeling has been that of family.  People that I love dearly and count on implicitly.  And it is returned, over and over again, and I am so thankful.

Playing George Bailey is, well iconic.  It’s a joy and a privilege.  The character means so much to so many people, and you can get in the way of that.  Every audience member has a world of feelings and emotions around this story, or the family that they are about to see, or never going to see again.  To pretend that you need to be anything other than a participant in the story is just superfluous.  The most joy has come allowing the story to tell itself and just enjoy it as it unfolds.  My teacher Amir probably said something about that in grad school and it’s now coming home to roost.

Hope to see you there!

Also, we will be fundraising for 4th Messenger December 28th at Freight and Salvage with Vienna Teng!  Actually, it’s a Night with Vienna Teng, and we’re just guests, but since you’re reading this blog, you probably know who I am more than she is.

Come on out, but hurry, tickets are almost gone! Buy them here!
